Now you are settling into your residence, it’s time to enjoy the exclusive the perks. Starting with the monthly Downing Students’ events hosted by your residence team. And if you have already attended your welcome events this year, keep scrolling for highlights!
MEET YOUR NEIGHBOURS
One of the many reasons attending a residence event is great idea is to meet more of your neighbours. You may have already got to know your flatmates, but attending an event means you can meet and socialise neighbours from other flats. You may find you probably have lots in common with each other, including interests, same courses etc.

Downing Students’ events are always planned with you in mind. Our favourite events range from: food and drink nights, cultural and national celebrations, social mixers and more. There is always something to suit everybody. Meaning you get the chance to share new experiences with your friends and neighbours that you wouldn’t usually.

Where there is an event, you can always guarantee free food and drink. Some events even include prizes freebies you can take away. Just look at that delicious pizza our New Park residents recently enjoyed at their welcome party!
